Perhaps you already own a very functional or sentimental piece of furniture that you’d love to update to suit your style & fit perfectly in your home.

Perhaps you know that you want & need a new piece of furniture for a specific place but, in the name of sustainability, you don’t actually want it to be new-new so you’d love help both sourcing & designing the perfect piece.

Any & all of these scenarios are right up Slapdash Street.

Here’s are the ways we can begin:

  1. You already have a piece to update

  2. You source the piece

  3. You brief me to find the piece

  4. You choose a piece I have in stock

We’d then have a design discussion (in person, video call, email, WhatsApp) to talk about:

  • What it will be used for & where it will live;

  • Budget*;

  • Design ideas (look here for inspiration);

  • Colour palette;

  • Details (eg any repair work, back, inside, drawer inserts);

  • Any preference on finish (gloss, satin, matt);

  • Delivery method**.

*I charge a base rate £18 per hour for commission work with a medium chest of drawers in good condition taking approx 15 hours. This excludes any additional materials required & excludes delivery.

** Free collection from London SW18. Free delivery within 5 miles. Or private courier (cost based on size of item & delivery location).

    The perfect compact circular kitchen table for when space is at a premium. Made up of composite rectangular panels which are just asking to be incorporated into a funky design.

    A great little circular table that could serve many purposes - side table, coffee table, the seat for a big juicy plant! The top features the most beautiful wood grain that should be kept on display - at least some of it anyway!
